This privacy policy covers all apps published by Shabaka Malik Banks under the malikbanksnyc.com umbrella — currently MadWeather, MomKnows!, and UNCONTAINED. All apps are designed with privacy as a core principle. None of our apps sell, share, or monetize your personal data.
All apps display "Data Not Collected" on their App Store privacy nutrition labels, with a single noted exception for MadWeather's use of location (described below).
MadWeather sends your device's location to Apple WeatherKit to retrieve weather forecasts. This location data is sent directly to Apple's servers and is not logged, stored, or retained by MadWeather or its developer. No other data leaves your device. MadWeather does not require an account and does not collect analytics, crash reports, or advertising identifiers.
MadWeather's App Store nutrition label reports "Data Not Collected" across all categories. Location is used transiently for weather lookups and is not linked to your identity.
UNCONTAINED collects no personal data. The app uses Apple Game Center for achievements and leaderboards, and iCloud key-value storage for progress sync — both handled entirely by Apple. UNCONTAINED has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs. Its App Store nutrition label reports "Data Not Collected" across all categories, with no exceptions.
MomKnows! makes zero network calls — none at all, not even to check the time. All data you enter stays entirely on your device. Sensitive fields are stored in the iOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system. The only way data leaves your device is if you explicitly choose to export an AES-256 encrypted local backup or a PDF — both of which remain in your control.
MomKnows! has no server, no account system, no analytics, and no crash reporting. Its App Store nutrition label reports "Data Not Collected" across all categories, with no exceptions.
None of our apps include third-party SDKs of any kind — no analytics frameworks, no crash reporters, no ad networks, no tracking pixels, no social media integrations. All apps are built entirely with first-party Apple frameworks.

Neither app is directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through one of our apps, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our apps or legal requirements. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
