This privacy policy covers MadWeather and UNCONTAINED (published by Shabaka Malik Banks) and FOCUS//DECK (published by Bleek Vision LLC), all under the malikbanksnyc.com umbrella. MomKnows! is published separately by Bleek Vision LLC under its own privacy policy — see MomKnows! Privacy Policy. The apps covered here are designed with privacy as a core principle. None of them sell, share, or monetize your personal data.
All three apps display "Data Not Collected" on their App Store privacy nutrition labels, with a single noted exception for MadWeather's use of location (described below).
MadWeather sends your device's location to Apple WeatherKit to retrieve weather forecasts. This location data is sent directly to Apple's servers and is not logged, stored, or retained by MadWeather or its developer. No other data leaves your device. MadWeather does not require an account and does not collect analytics, crash reports, or advertising identifiers.
MadWeather's App Store nutrition label reports "Data Not Collected" across all categories. Location is used transiently for weather lookups and is not linked to your identity.
UNCONTAINED collects no personal data. The app uses Apple Game Center for achievements and leaderboards, and iCloud key-value storage for progress sync — both handled entirely by Apple. UNCONTAINED has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs. Its App Store nutrition label reports "Data Not Collected" across all categories, with no exceptions.
FOCUS//DECK collects no personal data. Everything the app records — sessions, tasks, streaks, settings, and parked thoughts — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData) and never leaves your device. There are no accounts and no servers.
Optional Apple features: in-app purchases (FOCUS//DECK Pro) are processed by StoreKit; achievement syncing uses Apple Game Center; and the optional Deep Work app shield uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework, where the apps you choose to block are managed entirely on your device as opaque tokens and are never transmitted to us. FOCUS//DECK uses no HealthKit, location, analytics, ads, or third-party SDKs. Its App Store nutrition label reports "Data Not Collected" across all categories, with no exceptions.
None of these apps include third-party SDKs of any kind — no analytics frameworks, no crash reporters, no ad networks, no tracking pixels, no social media integrations. All are built entirely with first-party Apple frameworks.

None of these apps are directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through one of our apps, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our apps or legal requirements. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
